Plan to Freedom One – Building a Foundation

posted in: All Posts, My Journey | 0

So I have this little problem with the government that I spoke of in my last post. I have to be poor in order to receive the care I need for my survival. On top of that, if I earn any money myself, they will discontinue their services well before I can afford to pay for them. If you haven’t already, be sure to read my previous blog post to get a better understanding of what I mean (I explain it in great detail).

Now my mission is to find legal ways around these government restrictions so I can retain their services until I’m able to pay for them myself. I’ve estimated the required income for that will be $8,000 to $10,000 a month before taxes to remain at my current standard of living. So far, I’ve only been able to think up a couple of possible ways to accomplish this task. I’m going to talk about one of them here today.Building a Foundation

Yes, Internet Marketing Again

This idea I have is centered on internet marketing. If you’ve read the first post on my blog, you know there is potential for earning money with a blog by putting ads on the site. However, you may notice that I don’t have any ads up here yet. The reason for that is the very low internet traffic I get to my site so far. If I had ads that led to a few sales, the small amount of income I might get would have to be reported. It would then affect the following month’s services I receive. As the income builds in unpredictable ways over time, I would eventually reach the cutoff limit for the government services, which would leave me with big bills I couldn’t pay. Unfortunately, something else must be done to make internet marketing work for me.

Build the Foundation First

What I’m thinking of doing now changes up the conventional internet marketing system somewhat. What I might be able to do is build my blog following first without ads at all. If I could build up enough traffic to sites like this, perhaps I could put the ads in later and start earning enough money from that point on. It’s really a gamble though. If I don’t have enough traffic that gets converted to sales each month, then I could lose all my assistance and still not earn enough to survive on. I need to go from earning $0 a month to earning $8,000+ per month.

Could it Work?

This is where I need advice from skilled internet marketers. Would building my audience first be a feasible way to accomplish my goal? How much traffic would I need in order to earn my required income? What are the best ways to bring traffic to a blog?

If I can make this work, I’m going to need my friends and family to share my blog with all of their friends and family. I’ll have to try and create enough content to share with people to keep them coming back. I’ll need a lot of people to follow me on Twitter and Google+, and also “like” my page on Facebook. All those links are on the sidebar of my blog here. So what do you think? Can I pull off what might seem impossible to me and probably many others?

Sharing is caring!
